Home Visits

There are better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Surgery so we prefer all patients to be seen at the surgery, where possible. if you can get someone to bring you in for an appointment that may be beneficial to you, or you can use Newton Abbot Community Transport to arrange for transportation to and from your appointment.

If you are bed bound and absolutely cannot get in to be seen then we will visit you in your home, requests should be made before 10am to enable all visit requests to be planned efficiently. Often it will be a GP that will come out to see you, but it may be an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic who are highly skilled. They will liaise with a GP back at the surgery, if needed.

It helps to assess the necessity and urgency of a visit request if you can accurately describe the symptoms and the state of the patient.

Please phone 01626 208020, before 10:00am if you think you need a home visit.
